Celebrity at KAIST

Aujourd'hui, j'ai eu la chance (?) de rencontrer une célébrité au KAIST. En effet, en revenant d'une réunion cette après-midi, j'ai vu que certains de mes coéquipiers faisaient un entrainement improvisé. Je me suis donc joint à eux. Une vingtaine de minutes plus tard, alors que je suis sur le terrain, je vois une équipe munie de caméras qui accoste un des joueurs de mon équipe et discute avec lui. Après quelques instants de discussion, on nous appelle pour venir tourner quelques images pour une émission de télé à laquelle participe 서인영 (Seo In Yeong), une jeune chanteuse de K-Pop qui apparemment est assez célèbre en Corée.

Today, I had the chance (?) to meet a celebrity at KAIST. While I was coming back from a meeting this afternoon, I saw that several of my team-mates, were having a improvised baseball practice. I therefore decided to join them. After 20 minutes or so, some guys with video cameras came and spoke to one of my team-mates. We continued playing and after a few moments, they called us to come and shoot some scene for a TV show where 서인영 (Seo In Yeong) -a young K-Pop singer- is staring.



On a commencé par tourner quelques scènes sans que 서인영 (Seo In Yeong) soit là, comme le cri de guerre de l'équipe, ils ont fait des plans sur nous... puis 서인영 (Seo In Yeong) est venue et a interviewé un des gars de mon équipe. A vrai dire, je n'ai rien compris de ce qui s'est passé (ou pas grand chose) à part quand le gars a présenté l'équipe et a dit sur moi que je venais de France et que je m'appelais William ! Déjà pas mal, pas sur que tout le monde aurait compris ça quand c'est dit en coréen ! Après cette interview, elle a dû nous apprendre un début de chorégraphie (ça durait 5 secondes) et en échange elle a apprit comment lancer une balle. C'était assez ridicule, autant nous à faire sa choré que elle a lancer une balle en talons aiguilles ! Enfin bon, c'était assez marrant et inattendu de vivre ça ! Ça reste un bon souvenir même si je ne connaissais pas cette chanteuse avant !



We started to shoot a few scenes without 서인영 (Seo In Yeong), such as our team's rallying cry... then 서인영 (Seo In Yeong) came and interviewed one of my team-mate. Truly speaking, I didn't understand anything of what was going on except when the guy introduced the team and said that I came from France and that my name was William ! No too bad when you consider that it was all in Korean ! After the interview, she had to teach us a choreography (5 second long) and in exchange, she learnt how to pitch a ball. It was quite ridiculous, us dancing as well as her playing baseball in high-heel shoes ! Anyway, it was quite fun and I wasn't really expecting this to happen. It will stay as a good memory even though I didn't know her before !



PS : Il parait que ca va passer à la télé coréenne le 20 mars sur Mnet. Et aussi, juste pour rappeler, demain a lieu mon premier match sous les couleurs des 뿅가리 스웨트 (PPyonggari Seueteu) donc vous aurez plus d'infos sur le déroulement du match et de la ligue bientôt ! (En plus, une source proche de l'équipe a dévoilé que je jouerais short-stop)

It seems that the show will be on Korean TV on Mnet on March 20th. And also, I wanted to remind you that tomorrow is my first match with the 뿅가리 스웨트 (PPyonggari Seueteu) so you will soon have more informations about the match and the league ! (Moreover, a reliable source close to the team organisation has revealed that I might play short-stop)
